Hotel Rottnest

Hotel Rottnest is a prime waterfront location with stunning views across Thomson Bay. We recommend coming here with friends to enjoy a nice cold beer and a classic pub meal, as well as performances from live DJs on the weekends. If you’re travelling during the week, why not stop by for the popular Wednesday Quiz Night? With festive functions and festivals all year long, Hotel Rottnest will quickly become your go-to watering hole.

Dôme Café

Dôme Café was started by former Olympic Gold Medalist Phil May, who had a vision to take the best coffee beans and hand roast them for a unique coffee blend. Now, you’ll struggle to find better coffee anywhere else on the island. But beyond top-notch drinks, Dome offers a delicious all-day food menu including the ‘all time favourite’ Big Breakfast, which includes eggs, toast, bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, and a fresh tomato. There really is no better place to start your day.

R.I.G.C Clubhouse

R.I.G.C Clubhouse is the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long round of golf. The menu caters to everyone’s needs, with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on tap. Inside, you’re also welcome to watch the latest footie match, play a game of billiards, or book in for lawn bowls in the sun. For those wanting the perfect spot for a casual catchup with mates, the clubhouse has you covered.

The menu features only the best WA produce, paired with fine wines brought straight from the Italian peninsula and seasonal spritz cocktails. Isola is all about the simplicity of island life, the fun of dining with loved ones, and the unbeatable experience of digging into a mouthwatering meal.  While dining here, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of Thomson Bay.

For those with a sweet tooth, we recommend heading to Simmo’s Ice Creamery. At Simmos, there are more than 60 delicious flavours to choose from, including White Choc Malt, Whiskey Prune, Apple Pie, and Burnt Caramel with a Salty Caramel Swirl. They also offer plenty of dietary options, and a low sugar version for those on a diet who still want a classic ice-cream experience. Customisable cakes and friendly staff make the experience that much sweeter, so anyone travelling with kids will definitely want to stop by.

Kuld Creamery

Kuld Creamery is your go to for made-from-scratch ice cream and vegan ice cream. Owners Caitlyn and Mati are passionate about crafting delicious, nostalgic flavours inspired by their North American roots, making each one in house in small batches and then combining it with cakes, cookies, caramels and fruit sauces to achieve the final product. Kuld Creamery have venues all across WA, but Rottnest Island is certainly one of our favourites.
