Parkes Showground

Aside from being the location of the Parkes Elvis Festival and the Parkes Show, this showground is also a popular camping spot for passing travellers, with no need to book or pay in advance.

There are 300 powered sites to choose from, with options to camp under the shade of kurrajong trees or closer to the amenities block. Pets are also very welcome here, although they must remain leashed.

Visitors are also known to enjoy wildlife photography when staying here, as many bird species call the national park home, including black cockatoos, eastern rosellas, lorikeets and kookaburras.
