The seasonal menu is designed to nourish and inspire customers. Each day, you will find a new soup and curry special to reflect the freshest local ingredients. Other standouts include the tofu scramble with fried potatoes and toast, and the buffalo cauliflower wings with mango lime chilli dipping sauce.

Tuck in to Adelaide’s best veggie burgers and hotdogs at this Americana-inspired diner in the historic Grand Ballroom of Adelaide Arcade. The award-winning range of “beef” and “chicken” burgers are made in-house using plant-based ingredients. The menu comes packed with mouth-wateringly good meals, such as the “Buffalo” chicken burger, vegan nachos with chipotle black beans and chilli hot dog. Don’t forget to sample from the dessert menu while visiting, with favorites such as spiced chocolate cake, apple crumble and a salted peanut and chocolate sundae.

If that wasn’t enough, Two-Bit Villains also runs an online vegan grocery store, for those looking for fresh produce and famous Two-Bit Villain products to enjoy at home.

Rated the fifth best vegan food truck in the world by Lonely Planet, Staazi and Co is a must visit for incredible greek street food. The mobile van brings friendly service to the streets of Adelaide, with a mission to change how customers think about vegan dining. 

All meals are made with 100 percent plant based ingredients, packing heaps of flavour and charm. Specialties include plant-based lamb yiros with home-made tzatziki, tomato, red onion and hot chips wrapped in toasted pita, or loaded fries layered with greek style slaw, tzatziki and olive tapenade. The team also wishes to spread a message of kindness and sustainability, campaigning for an end to animal cruelty.

For fine dining with a vegetarian twist, head to Allegra on Giles Street. Each night, the talented chefs prepare a full-course dinner showcasing the best plant-based ingredients of the season. The intimate 28-seat dining room ensures a personalised and cosy evening with loved ones. 

While the menu changes regularly, previous features include walnut, rocket and truffle pasta, L’orange Fumée paired with fried okra and coconut chutney, and pappardelle with mushroom, cauliflower, radicchio and sage. Each dish is beautifully plated, bursting with colour and intricate detail.

Africola is an award-winning open-plan kitchen found in a heritage-listed building on the east end. Using a wood-fire oven, chef Duncan Welgemoed has curated a bold menu of African-inspired vegetables, flatbreads, pickles, ferments and vegan desserts. While there are also smoked meats, it is very easy to dine vegetarian here.

The entire menu is about bold flavours and spice, with standouts such as mushroom with white bean and chilli crisp, or dahl with coconut and coriander chutney. Deserts include a yoghurt ice cream with rockmelon granita. And if that wasn’t enough, the long list of cocktails and South Australian wines make for a great accompaniment to any dish.
