From family fun days to thought-provoking exhibitions, there’s something for everyone in Perth’s opening calendar of events.
TIME • RONE
Showing from December until February, TIME • RONE is a collection of mural works from the renowned street artists RONE. After a sell-out season in Melbourne, the show will transform 12 rooms in AGWA’s historic Centenary Galleries, including brand-new spaces and two mural works created exclusively for Perth.
TIME • RONE also offers a variety of immersive experiences, including themed dinners and a RONE-inspired bar space. Spend more time with the art, and delve into a whole new world of creativity. You can even book with a dedicated TIME • RONE travel agent, who will organise your entire trip to Perth.
December – February
United Cup
Witness some of the world’s best tennis players as they descend on Perth for a round robin competition at the RAC Arena. Kicking off with Kazakhstan v Spain, each game promises to be a heart-racing, edge of your seat show.
If you’re travelling with kids, make sure to bring them along too. Family-friendly entertainment includes face painting, writing post cards to players, and a game of nets and ladders. On-site bars will be serving refreshing drinks, while merchandise stands help you show support for your favourite teams.

AusCycling Road National Championships
Australia’s top cyclists and para-cyclists will be coming together for the highly-anticipated national championship race at Perth’s inner-city Kings Park. The riders will put their skills to the test in three challenging courses, each designed to push them to the limit.
The opening event will see riders race against the clock, as they attempt to finish with the best possible time, while the final event will be a 13.6 kilometre circuit ending in a climb up William Street and Malcom Street. As part of the event, families are invited to cycle on the same course as the experts in a free family ride. Taking place on fully closed roads, it’s a safe and exciting way to get amongst the action before watching the professionals battle it out for the national title.

FRINGE WORLD
FRINGE WORLD is a popular annual festival welcoming more than 500,000 attendants each year. Any and all performers can register as part of the festival, resulting in a wide range of exciting and boundary-breaking shows.
2025 highlights include 0 Distance with Parlor Magic, a cabaret and magic show destined to delight. Watch as coin magic, card tricks and mentalist routines amaze and astound, all presented by Australian magician Toby Zhang. Or, see London-based comedian Robyn Perkins in action, fresh off her award-winning shows in the UK. Tackling humorous and charged topics, she invites the audience to ask any and all questions to be answered with wit and hilarity.

SVNS Perth 2025
Experience three-days of festival fun at HBF Park, all in celebration of Aussie sport. Watch Olympic stars in action, witness all-star performances from resident DJs, and hit the Beach Club for perfect summer vibes.
To celebrate the return of rugby sevens to Perth, the event will also include games from the 12 best men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams, including Olympic medalists New Zealand, Fiji, Canada and USA. Food stalls and bars will be serving delicious menus all weekend long, and attendants are encouraged to dress up to celebrate in style.
24-26 January
Perth Festival
For those after a cultural fix, make sure to check out the Perth Festival. As Australia’s longest running arts festival, it has been showcasing performance, music, film, visual arts and literary events in the city for 70 years. Taking place on Noongar Boodjar land, the festival celebrates the rich history of Indigenous traditions and artistic practices.
Standouts of the Perth Festival include Lotterywest Films, a program of 23 films from more than 15 countries. At the outdoor cinema, audiences are invited to sit in one of the comfortable beach chairs, bring a picnic, and grab a bite of the venue’s delicious summer foods.
The program features more than 100 events in total, with performances and exhibitions to suit all tastes.
