A passion for coffee at March Coffee Studio

Some people drink coffee for a quick pick-me-up, but others are truly passionate about it. If you’re in the latter group, take a trip to March Coffee Studio. Founded by Ziggy Varamulia, a well-known Perth barista, this cafe only uses the highest quality beans.

You’ll find the location easily as it runs right along the Perth underground railway station. The team here are friendly and brimming with knowledge, as each barista puts their own unique spin on the coffee. The food menu is small, but you’ll always find a sweet treat to pair with your morning cup, including brownies, financiers and gluten free cube cakes.

Customers love its experimental drinks, such as the Tokyo Spring: a yuzu soda, blackcurrant and matcha blend. You can also try coffee made with a formerly extinct variety of bean, and pair it with milk specifically formulated to suit the roast by changing the protein, fat and sugar content. Ziggy also experiments with cryo-hydrolysed distillation, which involves freezing milk and letting it melt slowly to halfway in the fridge to become twice as concentrated, as milk melts faster than water.
