The Truffledore

The Truffledore is a boutique truffle farm that grows delicious French Black Winter Truffles.

During the harvesting season, which runs from June to August, they offer the chance to take part in a real-life truffle hunt alongside a farmer and truffle dog. This is a great way to see the hunting experience firsthand, and maybe even get your hands a little dirty.

Visitors then have the opportunity to dine on a delicious four-course lunch using the truffles they’ve just found in the fields. If that wasn’t enough, bed and breakfast accommodation is also available, allowing guests to experience the truffle farm lifestyle and unwind surrounded by the beautiful country atmosphere.

Freycinet Marine Farm

Run by Oyster Bay Tours, this farm experience takes you to the breathtaking Freycinet Peninsula, located along the Great Eastern Drive. Here, you will be greeted by Declan, who runs the farm with his wife. Both are passionate oyster farmers who love sharing their experiences with others.

On Freycinet Marine Farm, you will learn all about the oyster growing process. Pop on some waders and head out into the cool water to learn how to shuck an oyster, and taste fresh produce pulled straight from the ocean. Then, head back to shore and enjoy fresh oysters paired with a glass of local Reisling. What could possibly be better?
