A thrilling new exhibition lets visitors get up close and personal with life-size prehistoric beasts, with no time machine required.
If you’ve ever dreamt of walking beside a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex or peering into the ancient seas at a Mosasaurus, you’re in luck. Dinos Alive: The Immersive Experience has landed in Perth — and it’s an adventure the whole family can sink their teeth into.
Presented by global leader in immersive digital art experiences, Exhibition Hub, in partnership with entertainment platform Fever and proudly supported by the City of Perth, Dinos Alive promises a jaw-dropping journey into the Mesozoic era. After capturing the imaginations of more than one million people worldwide, and following its roaring success across the East Coast, the prehistoric spectacle has finally made its way west.
A Jurassic journey through time
Step into a time when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. This 45-to-75-minute walk-through experience blends cutting-edge technology with realistic reconstructions to bring ancient giants back to life. Visitors of all ages will come face-to-face with over 80 species — including the mighty T-Rex, the horned Triceratops, and the lightning-fast Velociraptor — brought to life through animatronics, life-size models, and interactive installations. From walking and flying creatures to those that once lurked beneath the ocean surface, this is more than just a visual treat — it’s an emotional, awe-inspiring trip into Earth’s distant past.
Dive beneath ancient seas
One of the standout features of Dinos Alive is the Virtual Aquarium — an underwater world where you can witness the power and grace of marine reptiles that once ruled the ancient oceans. Think massive jaws, swift tails and teeth that would make a great white shark blush.
This digital dive gives you a rare glimpse at sea creatures like the formidable Mosasaurus, letting you explore prehistoric marine life in a whole new way.
Perfect for budding palaeontologists
More than just an eye-popping adventure, the exhibition is packed with educational opportunities — especially for younger visitors. Kids can get their hands dirty in the fossil dig zone, uncovering ‘bones’ like real-life palaeontologists, and learn fun facts about the species that once roamed the Earth.
From fossils to footprints, every corner of Dinos Alive is designed to spark curiosity and inspire imaginations — making it the perfect school holiday activity or weekend family outing.
Why we’re all still obsessed with dinosaurs
There’s a reason dinosaurs continue to fascinate us. Whether through blockbuster films like Jurassic Park, classic cartoons, or bedtime stories filled with thunderous footsteps and swooping pterosaurs, these creatures have a firm grip on our collective imagination.
Dinos Alive: The Immersive Experience taps into that wonder, delivering a multi-sensory experience that’s as entertaining as it is educational.
