Noble & Precious is an Australian-owned jewellery brand producing beautiful waterproof, tarnish-free pieces made to last.
We sat down with Noble & Precious’ founder Georgia Antill to discuss her inspiration, ambition, and what makes her company a luxury jewellery brand without the big price tags.
What inspired you to start Noble & Precious?
Before starting Noble & Precious, I noticed three major problems faced by women wanting to own quality jewellery: luxury pieces were beautiful and long-lasting but unaffordable, jewellery that was affordable would tarnish and irritate the skin, and women were left wanting classy items that expressed their individuality without breaking the bank.
I felt it was time that someone created a new category within the Australian jewellery market, where quality didn’t equate to price.
What sets the jewellery from Noble & Precious apart from other brands?
We are 100 percent waterproof, tarnish-proof and our products do not cause skin allergies Once our customers buy from us, they always come back for more as they understand the ethos and appreciate the price-point.
Talk me through the design process for a piece of jewellery in your collection. How does an idea become a reality?
The inspiration for each piece nearly always comes from high-end design houses such as Cartier, Tiffany, Gucci and Bvlgari. We try to offer a similar aesthetic with the same long-term wear, for a fraction of the cost.
This way our customers can buy multiple styles to suit a wide array of moods and aesthetics. We also add unique design elements such as clasps that won’t pop open, and chunky hoops that are hollowed out so they aren’t too heavy on the ear. We want our jewellery to suit everyday wear, so you can wear it to the office, out on the town, to the beach and even to the gym.
How do you ensure that your jewellery stays waterproof and tarnish-free?
Noble & Precious only uses marine-grade biodegradable stainless steel for the base of our products. This metal is highly durable, while also being corrosion and rust-resistant. This means it won’t erode from the inside when exposed to water, skin, creams, heat, sweat or perfumes.
While traditional gold plating involves making the gold exterior using any quality or thickness, we use modern technologies to vapourise genuine 18K gold and silver to settle and condense onto all the intricacies of each design. This creates a beautiful finish and leaves no room for water or moisture to penetrate beneath the surface of the piece.
We also heavily test all our products, keeping them in clear water, hot water, and soapy water for long periods of time to ensure complete waterproof certification.
What steps are you taking to remain eco-conscious as a brand?
Our production process is entirely chemical-free, and our packaging is made from recycled papers. We only collaborate with other Australian-owned brands with the same or a similar approach to us.
What feedback have you received from customers?
There are so many claims by other brands that they are high quality and waterproof, yet customers find this is not the case once they purchase. As such, new customers have told us they were hesitant to believe the quality of our products. But once they buy jewellery from Noble & Precious, and experience our customer service, they are customers for life. We are often told that they start to buy pieces for their loved ones as well, which makes us very happy to hear!

What’s next for Noble & Precious?
We have just launched a men’s/unisex range, as well as mother/baby pendants. We are also in talks about expanding into the US market, which is exciting!
